Thanks to the government's Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) scheme there are a lot of grants and free schemes available at the moment. So if you're asking, "Can I get free insulation?" Or "Can I get an insulation grant?" you've come to the right place.
On this page we'll help you work out if you might be eligible for some of the available funding. But to find out for sure, you just have to fill in our very simple enquiry form. We'll check out your eligibility and get back to you. It's really easy to do - we just need a few small pieces of information and then we'll do the rest. If you are eligible for free insulation or an insulation grant, you'll be able to get a claim in straightaway.
Who is eligible for a free insulation grant?
Fill in the form and we'll give you a definitive answer, but for now, here's a broad guide to help you see if you think you might be eligible for free insulation or a grant.
Can I get free insulation for cavity walls or a loft space?
If you're an eligible homeowner (or a private tenant with your landlord's permission) and you're in receipt of qualifying benefits, you will be entitled to a 100% grant for cavity wall insulation, or loft insulation, provided your property passes its eligibility test too:
If your loft has less than 60mm (2.5") of insulation currently, you'll be eligible for free loft insulation. If you live in a house made of brick built between 1924 and 1982 you'll be eligible for free cavity wall insulation. Here too, your house needs to pass a suitability test - if you have a significant damp problem, you may not qualify.
Fill in the form and find out if you qualify for free insulation...
It's really easy. You just need to tell us:
- Your postcode
- Whether you're a homeowner or private tenant
- What benefits you receive
- What insulation you require
One of our Insulation Guide team will work it all out and get back to you to let you know. If you're eligible for a grant, or for 100% free insulation, they'll talk you through the next steps - and tell you more about the application process.
As this is a government scheme you can rest assured that there are no hidden costs. If you are not entitled to 100% of the cost of insulation, we will let you know so that you can decide if you still want to go ahead. If you don't want to, you don't have to.
The only other potential cost you might incur is for scaffolding, but you can check that with your installer before any work takes place.
The government ECO scheme has already helped people all over the country insulate their homes without any cost to them. They are already reaping the benefits of reduced heating bills and cosier homes. Let's see if you can too. Just fill in the form to get the process started.
